The declaration of the processing operation to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (Cnil) was made on 25 July 2005 under reference number 1109535. The favourable opinion was given and the order creating the automated processing of individual information from administrative files on self-employed persons, signed on 30 March 2006, was published in OJ No 87 of 12 April 2006.

Agreement No. 2008-00061D1 between INSEE and the Agence centrale des organismes de sécurité sociale (Acoss) was signed on 27 February 2008; it has been renewed by amendment since 2013.

Agreement No. 2006-00242 between INSEE and the Caisse centrale de la mutualité sociale agricole (CCMSA) was signed on 18 October 2006.
