French administrative unit resulting from the merging of several municipalities under the conditions established by the law of 16 July 1971, known as the law Marcellin. Each of the associated municipalities retains: a delagate mayor, an auxiliary town hall, a section of the municipal social action centre, an electoral section, an advisory commission or an advisory council.
